I have been blessed to have had Aunt Betty in my life, especially during my childhood and teenage years. She was such a loving and caring mother and aunt who treated everyone equally with kindness and respect. Although I have lived far away since I was seventeen, I will never forget that she showed me how a loving family is suppose to be.

To quote one of Dad's favorite lines"If I should live to be the last leaf upon the tree..." Well, dearest mom you did live to be the last leaf upon your family tree. You lived to see grandchildren grow and graduate from high school and college, begin their careers, marry and begin families. What a blessing! Mom, It's been almost 24 hours since you took your last earthly breath...our tears are freely flowing....but we are relieved that you are free from all the pain and suffering you endured for so long with such dignity.... never complaining.... you taught all of us the true meaning of the virtues of compassion, patience, understanding, forgiveness, dignity and hope...... Thank you.... we will try to continue to put into everyday practice all of these lessons.... Faith ...Family...
