Thomas W. (Barney) Mann, 67 of Akron, Ohio formerly of West Salem, Ohio died Sunday July 16, 2023 at Akron General Hospital.
Barney was born July 1, 1956 in Lodi, Ohio the son of Norman and Betty (Palmer) Mann.
He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1974.
Barney had worked for the Village of West Salem where he was the cemetery sexton and a police officer. Northwestern School District where he worked as a custodian and then a bus driver for many years. He retired from Tasty Pure Food where he was a warehouse assistant. Barney was a past member of the Town & Country Fire Department. He loved his cats.
Barney is survived by a brother; Andrew and Julie Mann of Mogadore, Ohio, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Terry and Jon Mann and an infant sister; Jayne Louise Mann.
Per Barney’s request there will be no services. Memorials maybe given to ASPCA of your choice.
