Thelma Louise Barnes (Hayes), age 77 of West Salem went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17th 2021 following a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Thelma was born on April 24th to Earl and Marjorie Hayes as the youngest daughter within her family of six siblings. She was happily married to Alan D. Barnes who preceded her in death. Both Alan and Thelma attended Ashland Grace Church where they truly enjoyed the fellowship of many friends in faith.

Thelma and Alan enjoyed camping trips, hiking, and gardening. She was a member of the West Salem Historical Society and Polk Ladies Garden Club. Thelma’s smile, love, and laughter were a gift to all.
