Roman J Paszt

Roman Paszt, died on October 2, 2023 at Medina Hospital at the age of 90. Roman was born to parents John and Aniela (Bender) Paszt on March 3, 1933 in Poland. Roman served in the US Army. He was married to Sophie (Pojuda) Paszt on July 2, 1960. Roman retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 years. He was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time outside, cutting fire wood, tractors, cutting grass, giving to others, helping other members of the community build patios and keeping his wood burner going strong. He loved spending time with his only granddaughter Poppy.

Roman leaves behind his wife, Sophie Paszt of Lodi; two sons: Greg (Liz) Paszt and Steven (Alaina) Paszt; four grandchildren: Ryan, Brent, Ben and Poppy; two sisters: Krystine Dobies and Bernice Czuba. He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Paszt; two brothers: Eric Paszt and Chester Paszt; and sister Mary Nowaczyk.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 6-8 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 8:45 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Stephen Catholic Church 44 Britton Street, West Salem, Ohio 44287 with Father Ed Suszynski officiating.
