Marvin L. (Butch) Weisgarber Jr.79 of West Salem died Friday May 19, 2023 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was born September 12, 1943 in Massillon the son of Marvin and Juanita (Hayes) Weisgarber Sr.
Marvin married Connie on December 16, 1995.
He retired in 2004 from Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad after 36 years. Marvin was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
Marvin and Connie spent many winters in Florida. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing tennis.
Marvin is survived by his wife; Connie (Hooley-Fordenwalt) Weisgarber, children; Branden (Kelly) Weisgarber, Leesa Lloyd and Karen (Eric) Robinson, step- children; Melissa Fordenwalt, Dana (Gina) Fordenwalt and Kellie (Martin) Rabatie, grandchildren; Ethan (Rachel) Weisgarber, Dr. Lauren (Jordan) Barker, Erin Weisgarber, Kaleena Lloyd and Easias, step-grandchildren; Ryan Topovski, Taylor Relitz, Ashton Fordenwalt, Hayden Fordenwalt, Bailey Fordenwalt, Zac (Rhainie) Campbell, Scott Campbell, Kelsie (TJ) Jones, Andrew Rabatie and 13 great grandchildren.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother; David Seibert.
There will be Memorial Service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 9451 Ashland Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691 on Friday June 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
