Lydia Gray, 75 of Ashland passed away on Monday May 24, 2021 at UH Samaritan Medical Center. She was born to parents Dan and Callie Hinkle on July 20, 1945 in Madill, Oklahoma. On January 24, 1965 she married Melvin Gray, he preceded her in death on July 29, 2013. Lydia was a long-time member of the Truth Baptist Church in West Salem, and active in many activities with them. She worked many years with the Ashland Council on Aging.
She leaves behind two children: Chris Teague and Melissa Gray; one daughter in law: Molly Gray; ten grandchildren: James Jr., Brian Addison, Shannon, Krystal, Desiree, Travis, Terri, Randy and Brett; adopted grandson Kameron; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; another great great grandson on the way; many nieces and nephews; and tons of very close friends.
Lydia was preceded in death by her husband; two children: James Gray and Rhonda Renner; two sons in laws: Paul Teague and Brian Renner; two grandchildren Beverly and Rusty and eight siblings: Charlie, Raymond, Kenneth, Joeseph, Ethel, Connie, Cluadia and Tommie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Truth Baptist Church, 12457 Elyria Rd, West Salem, OH 44287 with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. She will have a private family inurnment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
