Lina May Dotterer Simpson-Mouzon (World Traveler) March 14, 1929-January 26,2021, the daughter of Frederick Mathias Abeil Dotterer and Esther Birdsall Clark of Tarrytown, NY passed away peacefully in her home at Cinnamon Lake, OH. Married 27 years to Lt. Joseph J Simpson, US Navy, and 25 years to Deacon Douglas Mouzon (Deceased) of Manning, SC. Doug & Lina were lifetime members of the Presbyterian Church of Manning. Survived by children Joseph J. (Caroline) Simpson II of Oxford, MS, Marlaine (Tony – deceased) Simpson Fiocco of West Salem, OH and Amy (Billy) Mouzon Carter from Greeleyville, SC. Adopted daughters Annette Rossi Luce of Canaan, NH, and Ginny Cheney Cogar of No. Ridgeville, OH. Adopted sons Russell Harrelson of Alcolu, SC. and John Stine of West Salem, OH. Grandchildren Tara Simpson DiSandro of Baton Rouge, LA, Joseph J. (JaCee) Simpson DiSandro of Zachary, LA, Meg Marie (Josh) Fiocco – Smith of West Salem, OH. Denise Fiocco of Lakewood, OH, Bo (Nicole) Floyd of Manning, SC. Great grandchildren Anabel, Liam, Evan, Tony (Danelle). Dom (Cyan), Tyler, Nicolas, Jacob, and Campbell. Great Great Grandma to Riley, A.J. & Peyton. Loved as Grandma Lina, Aunt Lina and Lina Baby to so many more. An avid crocheter who perfected her craft over time, always a long waiting list for a specially made afghan by Grandma Lina. A direct descendant of immigrants English Puritans (1630) and German Reform (1717), and a member of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handles by Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, OH.
