Joyce Beverly (Fetzer) Wright

Joyce Beverly (Fetzer) Wright, 85 of West Salem, Ohio died surrounded by her family on November 24, 2022 at Medina Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1937 to parents Michael Stephen and Freda Mae (Brown) Fetzer in Solon, Ohio.

Joyce married William Howard Wright Jr. on October 4, 1958 who preceded her in death in 2010. She was an Obstetric Nurse for 44 years at various hospitals retiring from Akron General Hospital. Joyce was a member of Homerville Grace Brethren Church where she loved leading craft activities during Bible school and going to ladies Bible study. She enjoyed quilting. Over the years Joyce made many baby blankets sewing them together with love. She enjoyed growing her flowers, especially her roses. Joyce also enjoyed bowling, going on bus trips, puzzle making, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians.

Joyce leaves behind her five children: Lisa (George) Wyatt, William (Carol) Wright III, Amy Wright, Dean (Barb) Wright, Andrew (Tammy) Wright; eight grandchildren: Meghann, Amber, Adam, Jake (Ashley), Joshua, Brooke (Harvey) Miller, Jason, Anthony; 5 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Annie. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral service for Joyce will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Homerville Grace Brethren Church, 8992 Firestone Road, Homerville, OH 44235 with Pastor George Swain officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the church. Burial will be in West Salem Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Homerville Grace Brethren Church.
