John V Grogan Jr.

John Vincent Grogan Jr. was born October 11, 1956 at Gassaway, West Virginia. To John V. Grogan Sr. and Marguerite Armentrout Knight-Grogan. He went to be with our savior, grandparents, his father, uncles and friends on Saturday March 21, 2020. He had a life filled with family that he loved and his work. He enjoyed a brief retirement, with his wife in beautiful West Virginia and South Carolina. He also loved rides in the country on his Harley Davidson with his wife. The two of them found churches open while they were on their rides and they would stop for their services. Every piece of mail that John would send to his Mom would have God Bless America on the envelope. Today his family firmly believes he is having a reunion with the Lord and his family that had gone before him.

John is survived by his wife, Catherin;, step daughter, Dana and two grandsons: James and Marshall; his wonderful mother in law, Corrine Beeler of Canal Fulton, OH; his daughter, Katie and two granddaughters; two sons; mother, Marguerite Lons of Lodi, OH; brother, Joseph of Lodi, OH; brother, Tommy (Janet) Knight of Medina, OH; brother, Forrest Russel and Liza Knight and their children of Rittman, OH; sister, Joyce Daugherty of Lodi; a special uncle and aunt, John E. Armentrout and Margaret of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; Nephew, David Knight of Wadsworth, OH; and many other family and friends.

Due to the current health crisis a private family service was held Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with Pastor Lester Buttolph officiating the service.
