James M. Sargent Jr.

James M. Sargent Jr., 46 of Wooster died at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, Ohio on December 29, 2022 with his fiancée and sister by his side after a battle with cancer. James was born to parents James M. and Kathleen (Ballantyne) Sargent Sr. on August 6, 1976 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1994.

James worked as a machinist at GoJo after many years at ArtiFlex  where he worked in various roles. He enjoyed fishing, corn hole, golfing, camping and spending time with family and friends. He leaves behind his fiancée, Holly Luzader; son, Mason Sargent; sister, April Nichols; niece, Lexie Nichols; mother, Kathleen Metzger; grandmother, Leona Ballantyne and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Ballantyne; great grandmother and uncle.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Monday January 2, 2023 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, Ohio starting at 6:00pm. with Lisa Giauque officiating.
