Francis Edward Yehlik (82) was born August 12th, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away September 25, 2020, surrounded by family.
Fran was a loyal and faithful husband. He adored his wife, Lois for 55 years. Together they enjoyed dancing, bowling, traveling, music, shows, and shared a passion for golf. Wherever they traveled, they quickly made friends. They created for themselves a large family, and were devoted to their children and grandchildren. Family came first. They would always find a way to be present, active, and supportive in all things. Fran was immensely proud of his family.
Fran was an inspired home builder, learning the trade from his father. He designed and built his family's dream home in Cinnamon Lake in 1974. He retired from construction after more than 40 years in the industry. In his retirement, Fran focused his time on his passion for golf. He taught golf lessons and cared for the greens and fairways at Eagle Crest Golf Course. Fran coached for the golf team at Black River High School.
After 5 years apart, Fran & Lois are dancing together again in heaven, surrounded by those loved ones who went before them. He is survived by six children: Laura (Will) Rollin, Bud (Judy) Yehlik, Janet (Spencer) Hershey, Shelley Storch, Karin (Tony) Crawford, and Alise (Chase) Newby. Eleven grandchildren: Nathanial (Kat), Jeremey (Amanda) Rollin, Patrick Yehlik, Brett (Angie), Brandi, Spencer Jr. (Chelsea), Logan (Kristen) Hershey, Cassius Storch, Chase Crawford, Liam & Noah Newby. He leaves 7 great grandchildren and counting.
