Deborah Prante

Deborah Prante, 64, of West Salem passed away on October 20, 2021 at Justin T Rogers Hospice in Akron, Ohio after a 7-year battle with cancer. She was born to parents Wilbur and Barbara (Bailey) Kelsey in Lodi, Ohio on February 19, 1957. Deborah was married to her husband Fred. She was a bus driver for Black River Schools and she also drove the bus for the Medina County Bookmobile. Deborah was a member of St Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed the creative arts and being a Stampin up Demonstrator for 15 years.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Fred; son, Adam Prante and fiancée, Allison Nielsen; father, Wilbur Kelsey; mother, Barbara Baird; sister, Sue Spurlock; brothers, Ralph Kelsey and David Kelsey; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours for Deborah will be on Monday October 25, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home, 40 Congress Street, West Salem, Ohio 44287. The Funeral Service for Deborah will be on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Pete Foradori officiating at the Matteson Funeral Home. She will then be buried at Huntington Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be sent to any cancer research group of your choice.
