Wayne R Robinson, 88 of Ashland died Monday December 29, 2014 at Hospice of North Central Ohio.
Funeral Services will be January 5, 2014 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastors Robert Holmes and Norm Johnson officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday afternoon 3-6 and 1 hour prior to the services. Mason Services will be Sunday evening at 6:00. Burial in South View Cemetery in Sullivan. He was born June 20, 1926 in Akron, Ohio the son of Wayen K and Ellen (Clapper) Robinson. He graduated in 1944 from Bath High School.
He was a dairy farmer most of his life. He had worked for AO Smith Harvester Co. for 20 years. He was a former member of Homerville Grace Brethren Church and was attending Ashland Grace Brethren. A member of the Farm Bureau Association for many years. He was a 50 year member of the Sullivan Masonic Lodge 313.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, roller-skating, fishing, camping, playing Monopoly and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Annabel (Hartong) Robinson, whom he married April 25, 1948, daughters, Sharon Cazeau of Wellington and Susan (Jim) Ratliff of Uniontown and a son Jerry(Darlene) Robinson of Nova,5 grandchildren, Heath, Justin, Dan, Ben & Amy, 2 great grandchildren and a brother, Kenneth Robinson of Lexington, Kentucky.
His parents, son-in-law, Jack Cazeau and sister-in-law, Marian Robinson died previously.
