Walter R Leiby

Walter R. Leiby, 79, died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home in West Salem, Ohio. He was born  March 9, 1940 in Spencer, Ohio to Fane and Ruth (Ridgeway) Leiby. Walter served in the  US Army from 1959-1961, he was a scout in a tank unit in Friedberg, Germany. One of his bunk mates while he was in the military was Elvis Presley. He worked and retired from Morlock Farms in West Salem. Walter received tremendous joy from collecting eagles and Budweiser steins especially those he received from Elizabeth and Lindsey, his granddaughters.

Walter leaves behind three children, Kevin (Angel) Leiby of Florida, Jennifer (Terry) Wood of Burbank, and Margie (Tom) Laney of West Salem; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and one brother, Linden Leiby of West Salem. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frances (Morlock) Leiby; one son, Scott Leiby; a granddaughter and five siblings, Raymond Leiby, Garold Leiby, Robert Leiby, Shirley Donnell, Carol Leiby.
