He graduated from John F. Kennedy in Cleveland and he attended Georgia State University.
He had been employed at Wal-Mart in Medina.
Michael enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Cirsten of twenty years, a son, Michael Ellis of Cleveland, sisters, Jean and Joyce of Cleveland, a brother, Marty Ellis of Cleveland, step sons, Randy, Jamie, Jeremy, and Jason Lacy all of Cleveland.
His parents died previously.
