Virginia M. Morrow 89 of West Salem, Ohio died on December 28, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to her parents Minter Johnson and Erma Dora (Lynch) Cogar on August 11th, 1934 in Webster Springs, West Virginia. Virginia’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her younger years Virginia enjoyed camping, dancing and singing, bird watching and completing word searches.
Virginia leaves behind her daughters: Charlotte (David) Funk and Loretta (Steve) Cherry; grandchildren: DJ Funk, Jillian (Chad Becker) Cherry, Rilee (Matt) Warner, Zacary (Emily) Cherry, Traci Morrison and Heather (Brian) Bemiller; great grandchildren: Alexa, Cade, Eloise, Lennon, Breanne, Hunter, Conner, Brynn and Brooklyn; brother: Robert (Della) Cogar of West Virginia; sisters: Ruth Beckwith of West Virginia, Wanda Snyder of Strongsville, Linda Skidmore of West Virginia, and Connie Clevenger of West Virginia. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Morrow; grandchild, Taylor Funk; daughters: Debbi Mohler and Pamela Morrow; brothers: Edward Cogar and Johnny Cogar; sisters: Virgie Adkins, Juanita Cable, Maxine Shears, Mary Bell Cogar and Shirley Cogar.
The service for Virginia will be on Wednesday January 3rd, 2024 at 12:00PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
