Susan J. Rice, 60, of West Salem died Wed. Nov. 2, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be Sat. Nov 5, 2011 at 10:00 at the First Congregational Church, 114 Church Street, Lodi with Pastor David Dake officiating.
Friends will be received Friday evening 6:00 to 8:00 at the Matteson Funeral Home, 40 Congress Street, West Salem. Burial in Hazzard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
She was born Sept 6, 1951 in Akron the daughter of Wilfred & Mary Jane (Herrick) Truby.
She graduated in 1969 from Woodridge High School. Susan participated with the University of Akron Symphony Orchestra.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Lodi where she was active. She was an avid music lover
She is survived by her husband David Rice of almost 43 years.
Three daughters Kirsten (Grady) Mosay of Baltimore, Anna (Russ) Fisher of Medina and Gretchen (Robert) Birkes of Ashland.
Four grandchildren Trevor and Kayleigh Fisher and Audrey and Katherine Birkes.
A brother Ray Truby of Wellington and a cousin Terry Lynn McIntyre
