Stanley N Fryman, 12 of West Salem was called home to Jesus on March 21, 2026.
Stanley was born on January 14, 2014 in Barberton, Ohio to parents Matthew Babbs and Laurie Fryman. Stan was a 6th grader at Northwestern Middle school where he was Founder and President of OONA INC and The Triangle Club. He was a cherished member of the community and left a lasting impression on all who met him.
Stanley was a special boy with many talents. He explored his creativity in many ways, ranging from stop motion and cell animation, to playwriting and directing, to photography and drawing. Stanley created multiple YouTube channels to express his creative imagination. Recently his channel has included “Fruit and Vegetable Enterprises” where he used produce as props and actors to tell his stories. He enjoyed claymation, sculpting and drawing faces with every silly facial expression he could think of. Stanley and his grandfather shared their love of creating and enjoyed working alongside each other in his art studio. While he didn't have interest in the toy section at the store, if you gave him a black Sharpie and a blank piece of paper, he would draw you up a custom character complete with a nickname. With Stanley's passion for the film industry he dreamed of being a director and actor, but if that fell through his backup plan was to be a “vegetable doctor”. He was talented beyond his years and truly loved sharing what he created with his amazing imagination.
When he wasn’t immersed in creation, Stanley loved singing with his mommy. They frequently turned on the “The Stanley Playlist” filled with all their favorite tunes and belted along. Some of his favorites were from the Daniel the Tiger and Super Why TV shows. Stanley’s favorite food was regular Lays Potato Chips, Madco Jojos, and Kit Kats. He loved all colors but his favorite was blue. Stan was so thoughtful, he loved making “fancy” sandwiches for his grandparents and helping prep veggies in the kitchen. He also loved spending time in nature, and could be found swimming in the pond or exploring with his brothers during the warm months. Stanley’s big heart and creative mind will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Stanley leaves behind his mother, Laurie Fryman; brothers: Alex Babbs and Phoenix Baddeley; sister, Emily Suhr; grandparents, Gerold and Laura Fryman; uncles: Paul Fryman, Tony Brown, Mark Fryman, Dustin Fryman, Brad Fryman and their families; aunts: Shelly, Laura, Megan and Christine. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents: Bruce and Donna Babbs.
The visitation for Stanley will be Friday, March 27, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00PM and 5:00-7:00PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00AM located at the St. Stephen Catholic Church with Fathers Rod Kneider and Jim Winnings officiating the service.
