Seldonia M (Serrano) Wood

Seldonia M. Wood, 92 of Burbank died October 6, 2023 at Altercare of Wadsworth.

She was born August 16, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Timothy and Margaret (Martinez) Serrano.

Seldonia married George Wood Sr on June 16, 1950. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2019.

She was a homemaker all her life. Seldonia enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles, playing card games and especially playing Wahoo. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in West Salem, Ohio.

Seldonia is survived by her children; Donna (Alvin) Shortridge of Oklahoma, Diane (Steve) Gartner of Cincinnati, George (Nancy) Wood Jr. of Burbank and Amelia (Alexander) Murph of Norton, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a sister; Amelia Martin of Fairview Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband; George, daughter; Paula and her parents.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 44 Britton Street, West Salem with Father Rod Kreidler officiating. Memorials may be given to St. Stephen Catholic Church or a donor of your choice. Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
