Sandra M Wellert, 75, of West Salem died Tuesday May 14, 2013 at West View Manor in Wooster, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Sunday May 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congress Community Church with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating. Friends will be received Saturday 6-9 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. Burial in Congress Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the WCW of the Congress Community Church, 10691 Franchester Road, West Salem, Ohio 44287 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691. She was born January 21, 1938 in Lakewood, Ohio the daughter of Richard & Marjorie (Newport) Sharpe.
She was a homemaker all her life and helped on the family farm. She loved to take care of baby calves and all animals on the farm.
She was a member of the WCW, Congress Community Church where she taught Sunday School. Her greatest enjoyment was her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them in their many sporting events and when they showed animals at the Wayne Co. Fair. Over the years, she supported and helped out at various school functions.
She is survived by her husband- Harold A Wellert whom she married March 2, 1957, three children- Tammy (Carl) Way Jr. of West Salem, Richard (Tonya) Wellert of West Salem and H. Ray Wellert of Massillon, eight grandchildren, 3 ½ great grandchildren and a sister Leslie (Lloyd) Dodson of West Salem
Her parents, an infant daughter, Julie Ann died previously.
