Ruth A Holmes, 74 of West Salem died Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Funeral Service will be Friday August 14, 2015 @ 11:00 a.m. at Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 North Elyria Rd., West Salem with Pastors Allen Imhoff & George Peters. Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral Home, West Salem on Thursday 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. Burial in Fairhaven Cemetery. She was born June 17, 1941 in Shelby, Ohio the daughter of Harrison & Roseline (Rhinebolt) Eckels.
She graduated from Wooster Beauty College and was a home maker all her life.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley C Holmes whom she married September 30, 1961, daughter, Machelle (Richard)Miller of Shreve, four grandchildren, Tanya Guenther(James Blount), Dustin Guenther, Rachel(Ryan)Ashley and Richie Miller, two great grandchildren, Avery & Maddie Blount, a brother, John Eckels, four sisters, Helen, Mary, Barbara & Thelma Eckels , foster sisters, Trudy Kerns and Jeri Morley.
Her parents, two brothers, foster parents, Robert & Dorothy Metzger died previously.
