Ruth E Hastings 89 of West Salem died Thursday Jan 3, 2013 at Burbank Parke, Burbank
Memorial service will be held Sunday Jan. 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Congress Community Church with Pastor Christopher Cottrel officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the services.

She was born March 22, 1923 in Wayne County the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Ribbeck) Aukerman.
She graduated from Lodi High School.
She had been a volunteer at the Lodi Community Hospital for 20 years and the Bloodmobile for 25 years.
She was a member of the TOPS Club 697 in Lodi, Congress Community Church, West Salem Senior Citizens for over 30 years, where she planned bus trips and the Harrisville Grange.
She is survived by her husband- Don W Hasting whom she married April 29, 1944
Four children- David (Kim) Hastings of West Salem, Donna (Gary) Pendleton of Marion, Susan (Lee) Bridenstine of Gaines, Michigan and Barbara (Rick) Mendenhall of Wooster
12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren
two sisters- Mabel McLaughlin of Parma and Dorothy Snader of Columbus.
Her parents, six brothers- Milo, Roy, Harry, Chester, Glenn and Lewis Aukerman and a sister Margaret Rose died previously
