Rosalee (Lovejoy) Dempsey

Rosalee Dempsey, 73, of West Salem, OH went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2021.

Rosalee was born on August 24, 1948, in Midkiff, WV to Ronald and Dessie Lovejoy.

Rosalee was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Salem for 46 years and worked 28 ½ years as a Nurse's Aide at Brethren Care Village in Ashland, OH.

Rosalee is survived by her husband of 56 years Roger Dempsey, daughter Lora (Mike) Lanham, grandchildren Vicki (Brandon) Kindall, Kyri and Kohl Lanham, great-grandchildren Seth, Abigail, Erin, and Sarah-Elizabeth Rose Kindall, siblings Roger (Sheila) Lovejoy, Sue (Larry) Welch, sisters-in-law Nelda Harless and Pat Lovejoy, brother-in-law Robert Hatfield, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Dessie Lovejoy, siblings Lorraine Lovejoy, Madeline Hatfield, Lester Lovejoy, Linuel Lovejoy, sister-in-law Donna Hatfield, and son-in-law Joe Fetzer.

The Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of West Salem, with Pastor Jerry Arman officiating, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the service, at the church. Burial will follow the services in West Salem Cemetery.
