Roberta L Thompson, 64 of Polk when home to be with the Lord on Monday Oct. 16, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
Funeral Service will be Friday October 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland with Pastor Harry Strachan officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 at the church. Burial in Polk Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website at mattesonfh.com.
She was born September 4, 1953 in Wooster the daughter of Wayne and Aletha(Holmes)Jones. She graduated from Mapleton High School.
Roberta was engaged in farming all her life. She had also been employed at PBS Livestock in Wooster and Penteair in Ashland.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Richard Thompson whom she married June 10, 1972, a son Scott Thompson, two granddaughters, Mariah & Emily, sisters, Becky Kelley of Ashland, Julie Cline of Ashland, a brother, David Jones of Holbrook, AZ and her step father who raised her, Daniel(Sue)Altfather of Polk.
Her parents died previously.
