Robert L Hunter

Robert L Hunter, 78 of West Salem died Wednesday June 14, 2023 at UH Samaritan Hospital in Ashland, Ohio.

Bob was born December 4, 1944 in Mansfield, Ohio the son of John and Treva (Stacy) Hunter.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Bob married Bonnie (Long) Hunter in 1991. He retired from Cowen Truck Line in Perrysville, Ohio where he was a truck driver. Bob was a member of James Stevenson American Legion Post 499 of West Salem, Ohio. He never met a stranger and Bob was always telling jokes. He enjoyed deer hunting

Bob is survived by his wife: Bonnie, step sons; Brian (April) Whitley and Darrell (Cheryl) Whitley both of West Salem, grandchildren; Austin and Lauren, sister; Dolores Fernandez of Mansfield, Ohio and brother; William (Connie) Hunter of West Liberty, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Kathy Roberts.
