Robert T. Balliett 73 of West Salem died April 13, 2011 at Blytheville, Arkansas
Funeral services will be Monday April 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral home in West Salem with Rev. Lee Anderson and Pastor Mark Plotts officiating.
Friends will be received Sunday 5:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 8:00.
Burial in Congress Cemetery with military services conducted by James Stevenson American post 499 of West Salem.
Memorials may be given to New Pittsburg Fire Dept. 3311 North Elyria Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691 or American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22311.
He was born May 24,1937 in West Salem, Ohio the son of Herbert & Edith (Kochheiser) Balliett.
He served in the US Army.
He was an owner and operator of B.E.G. Wiring.
He was a member of Order of the Eastern Stars Chapter # 324 of West Salem and West Salem masonic Lodge # 398.
He is survived by wife Eileen (Forbes) Balliett whom he married June 1, 1963.
Two children Cindy (Robert) Graves of Ashland and Aaron Balliett of Canton.
Four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
Mother Edith Saltsman of Ashland and two sisters Patricia (Paul) Forbes of Florida and Yvonne (James) Zimmerman of Ashland
Half-brother Ron Balliett of Arizona
His father and two half-brothers Herbert Balliett Jr. and Doug Balliett died previously
