Raymond H. Miller

Raymond H Miller 63, of West Salem passed away on January 14, 2026. He was born January 5, 1963 in Springfield, Vermont to parents Donald and Sharron (Hronek) Miller. Ray graduated from Northwestern High School in 1981. He was a heavy Equipment Operator for the Local 18 Union. Ray recently received his 25 years of service pin. He enjoyed racing cars and riding his motorcycles, spending time with his wife and grandchildren and training his cats.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sally Silsby Miller, whom he shared his life with for 38 years before they married on February 24, 2007; two children: Edgar Silsby and Megan (Heath) Hess; six grandchildren Dyson, Hollis, Mariah, Tyson, Hunter and Herman; mother, Sharron Hinkle; sister, Sheryl McCain; mother-in-law Patricia Silsby and Tom the Cat. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Miller, father-in-law, Gary Silsby and step – father, H. Wayne Hinkle.

The funeral service for Ray will be Tuesday January 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, Ohio. Pastor Samuel Ray will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Congress Cemetery. Visitation will be the Monday, January 19, 2026 at the funeral home from 5-7:00 PM. Matteson Funeral Home is honored to serve Ray’s family and the community.
