Randy William Sagar, age 64, of West Salem, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on May 4, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Richard and Joan Sagar, Randy graduated from Ohio State University and built a life filled with laughter, hard work, and cherished connections.
Randy shared the past 19+ years with his wife, Kimmy Sagar, and together they created a life filled with love and warmth. He was the proud father of Christine Aranyos (Steve) Prouty and Andrea (Tyler) Clawson, and a caring stepfather to Nichole Flecknoe, Toni (Sabian) Ayers, Cody Robinson, Chad Petty, and Bobbie Dawn Petty. Randy was also a proud “Papaw” to 20 grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.
He is also survived by his sister, Valerie (Robert) Sorensen, and brothers, Rick (Tiziana) Sagar and Chris Sagar.
Randy had a gift for conversation and was known for his quick wit and as someone who loved to talk and connect with people. He found immense joy in spending time with his Hidden Acres Campground community and at his home in Everglades City, Florida, and relaxing with family and friends while fishing, boating, or sitting on the porch sharing stories. He truly lived life his own way and will be remembered for the countless memories he created with those he loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hidden Acres Campground in West Salem, Ohio, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor Randy Sagar.
