Phyllis Marie Collins

Phyllis Marie Collins, née Powell, 88 of Wooster passed away on September 7, 2026, at Smithville-Western Health Care Center in Wooster. She was born on May 4, 1938, in Cleveland.

Phyllis graduated from Olmsted Falls High School and went on to build a life marked by care for others, both at home and in her work. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and making crafts, bringing creativity and care into the everyday moments of life. She also worked as a nurse’s aide at Austin Nursing Home, a role that reflected her helping spirit. She retired in 1998.

Phyllis will be remembered for the steady and meaningful way she lived, balancing her responsibilities with the simple joys she found in homemaking and handcrafts. Her life touched others through her work, her talents, and the quiet dedication she gave to those around her.

She is survived by her sons; Robert Nutting, James Harold Nutting and Bryan Nutting, granddaughter; Dawn (Mark), great grandchildren; Teigan and Zachary and a sister; Sandy Kubes. Phyllis is preceded in death by her husbands; Robert Nutting, John Wilkolak and Larry Collins and her son; Charles Nutting.

Burial will be at Polk Cemetery at a later date.
