Orda Slone, of Seville Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026. After a long and courageous battle with lung cancer Orda passed away gently under the loving care of Cleveland Clinic Hospice with his daughter Lisa by his side.

And it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Orda Slone, a beloved father, grandfather, family member, and friend. Orda leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Orda had a heart of gold and was the kind of person who always made sure everyone around him was taken care of. Whether through his kindness, generosity, support, or simply being there when someone needed him, he gave so much of himself to others without expecting anything in return. Family meant everything to him, and he worked hard to make sure those he loved felt safe, supported, and cared for.

He also carried a deep love for his home in Kentucky. It was a place that meant so much to him and held many of the memories, values, and roots that shaped the person he became. No matter where life took him, Kentucky always remained close to his heart.

He was truly one of a kind, someone whose presence could never be replaced and whose impact will never be forgotten. He brought strength, comfort, and love to those around him and leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Orda Slone is joined by Kathy Sue Slone (Wife), Joshua Allen Slone (Son), John Slone (Father), Delia Slone (Mother), Herman Slone (Brother), Henry Slone (Brother), Ralph Slone (Brother), Andrew Slone (Brother), Arnold Slone (Brother), Brendan Scott French (Grandson).

Orda Slone is survived by Lisa French (Daughter) {William Paul}, Lilly French (Granddaughter) {Cody Keenan}, Victoria French (Granddaughter) {Aaron Shaler}, Emily French (Granddaughter) {Lance Miller}, Gavin French (Grandson), Lucia, Arlo and Archie Miller (Great Grandkids) Emmett and Owen French (Great Grandkids).

Please join us at the Matteson funeral Home in West Salem on Monday June 29, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. for a viewing and Tuesday June 30, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. for the funeral service. Burial will follow the service in West Salem Cemetery. The Matteson Funeral Home staff is honored to serve Orda’s family and the community.
