Melvin Glenn Gray, 68, of West Salem died Monday July 29, 2013 at MetroHealth Medical center in Cleveland due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Memorial Services will be Saturday August 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Truth Baptist Church in West Salem with Pastor Brad Ingram officiating.  Memorials may be given to the Truth Baptist Church Senior Citizens , 12457 North Elyria Road, West Salem, Ohio  44287.Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website @ www.mattesonfh.com.

He was born January 14, 1945 in Ashland the son of Norman & Mary Ellen( Schaum) Gray.

Melvin Graduated in 1964 from Northwestern High School.  He served in the US Air Force.
He had been employed by Local 669 as a pipefitter and was a auctioneer for the State of Ohio.

He is a member of the Truth Baptist Church since December 1981 and  the Patriot Honor Guards, Ohio Chapter.

He is survived by his wife- Lydia M Gray whom he married Jan. 26, 1968, children, James (Molly) Gray of Bremmerton, Washington, Christina (Paul) Teaque of West Salem, Rhonda (Brian) Renner of West Salem and Melissa Gray of Savannah, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Robert Eugene (Peg) Gray of Orrville, Paul Ellsworth (Vivian) Gray of West Salem and Franklin Henry (Carol) Gray of Jeromesville and a sister-in-law, Kathern Gray of West Salem.

His parents, sister Rosellen Gray and 2 brothers, Dale Gray and Francis “Red” Gray died previously.
