Martin Caldwell Jr., 85, of Polk died Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Metro Health Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Sunday August 11, 2013 @ 2:00 p.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Paul Taylor officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday 3:00 to 7:00 and one hour prior to the services on Sunday. Burial in West Salem Cemetery. He was born November 25, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Martin & Alice (Craft) Caldwell Sr.
He was a veteran serving in the US Army.
He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1982.
He moved from Cleveland in 1978 to Polk and West Salem area.
He is survived by children- Joan Goza of Parma, Jerry (Barbara) Caldwell and James (Shirley) Caldwell both of Cleveland and Joseph (Michelle) Caldwell of Ashland, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Goldie Hall of Florida and a brother, Jay Vanover of Kentucky.
His parents, wife Hazel in 1990, a sister, 5 brothers and a grandson Jordan Caldwell died previously.
