Marguerite L Mahlke

Marguerite L Mahlke 100, of Ashland formerly of West Salem & Elyria died on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Ashland. She was born on November 16, 1924 to parents Lester and Glenna "Marie" (Page) Ball in Butler, Ohio. She was a homemaker all her life. Marguerite loved traveling all over with her husband, going on bus trips, bird watching and spending time with her daughter’s dogs and cats. She was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church. Marguerite leaves behind her children: Randy (Johnna) Mahlke of Jeromesville and Jeanine Walton of Ashland; grandchildren: Doug Walton, Jeff (Terri) Walton, Stacey (Steve) Harper, Rhonda (Eli) Troyer and Jaime (Ryan) Hamilton; several great and great great grandchildren; and brother, John Ball of Fresno, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Swede” Mahlke; son, Keith Mahlke; brothers: Floyd Ball, Richard Ball and Harold Ball, sister; Evelyn Williams and baby sister, Grace.

The funeral service for Marguerite will be Sunday March 16th, 2025 at 1:30PM with Pastor Keith Tyson officiating, located at the Matteson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30PM. Burial will follow the funeral at West Salem Cemetery.
