Leonard John Bunyak Sr.

Leonard John Bunyak Sr. 85 of West Salem died Monday afternoon at Medina Hospital.

He was born  July 24, 1934 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania the son of John and Catherine (Duke) Bunyak.

Leonard married Dorothy(Mandley) October 22, 1956. She survives.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Leonard retired from NASA in Cleveland after 47 years where he was an aerospace technician.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, sons, Leonard Bunyak Jr., Doug Bunyak whom he raised and Carl Bunyak, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

His parents, a daughter Sue Arnold and a grandson, PJ died previously.

Memorial Service will be  Thursday December 12, 2019  at 1:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Victoria Devore as the Celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
