Josephine H Boreman 89 of Burbank died Monday evening at the home of her daughter patty Ogden following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday may 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral home in West Salem with Pastor Christopher Cottrel officiating. Burial in Congress Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Congress community Church, 192 North Main Street, West Salem, Ohio 44287 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
She was born Sept. 17, 1921 in Killbuck to Joseph and Anna (Gut) Battig. She married Marion J. Boreman on July 22, 1937. He died May 16, 2005. They were married for 67 years.
She retired from Frito Lay after 20 years of services.
She enjoyed raising Appaloosa horses and the love of her little dog Gigi. She enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Congress Community Church.
Josie was a kind generous and hard working woman. She was a good wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia (Tom) Ogden of Wooster and sons Roger (Rose) Boreman of West Salem and Steven Boreman of West Salem. Sister-in-laws Lois Battig, Jane Battig, Marge Battig, Marylou Battig and Donna Battig. Nine grandchildren Brenda Condrey, Jeff and Todd Ogden, Monty, Scott, Danny Boreman, Joby Craig, Nicole Geist and Cindy Boreman. Step- granddaughter Brenda Corbett. Twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Leo, Othmar, Edward, Fred, Elmer and Bob Battig.
