Joseph M Pauer, 78, of Homerville died Friday April 19, 2013 at Hospice of Medina County.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday April 24, 2013 @ 11:00 at St. Stephen Catholic, 44 Britton Street, West Salem with Father James P. Schmitz officiating. Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral Home, Tuesday 3-7. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi where military services will be conducted by James Stevenson American Legion Post 499 of West Salem. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website @www.mattesonfh.com.
He was born March 7, 1935 in Lakewood the son of Joseph & Mildred (Novotny) Pauer.
He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1963.
He retired May 2005 from Jacobson Company in Medina where he was a machinist.
He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in West Salem.
He is survived by two children Thomas Joseph & Gayle JT Pauer of Berea, Ohio and Marirose Power of Medina, a grandson- Christian and two brothers- Lyle (Veronica) Pauer of Brecksville and James F Pauer of Avon Lake.
His parents, wife Rosemary and brother John C Pauer died previously.
