Josef A Franz

The Franz Family announces the passing of Josef Franz on Sept. 18, 2024 surrounded by his family. Josef was born on April 3, 1934 in Deutsch – Zerne, Banat. He immigrated to Cincinnati, Ohio in March of 1952 and then moved to Cleveland where he was employed at the Brook Park Ford Motor Co. for 48 years. He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Adele (nee Eppich); his brother, Peter (Lotte); children: Karen, Christine Aston (Daniel), Josef A.K. (Deborah), Peter J.C. [Lynn (Qun)] and 6 grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be Monday Sept. 23, 2024 at St. Edward Church, 501 Cottage St. Ashland, Ohio 44805 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at West Salem Cemetery. Matteson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
