Janice L. (Carlton) Albrecht

April 9, 1930 — November 26, 2022

Janice L. Carlton Albrecht age 92, passed away on November 26, 2022. She was born to the late Floyd and Lena Carlton in Lafayette Township on April 9, 1930.

Jan is survived by her children, Cheryl (Gary) Brown, Deryl (Sally) Albrecht, Sandy (Dale Turnbull) Sailer and Cindy Slabaugh. She was also the beloved “Grandma Jan” to her grandchildren; Christina (Tim) Coudret, Shannon (Jeff) Courtock, Matthew Brown, Stacey (Steve) Albrecht, Bryan (William) Albrecht, Nate (Janelle) Sailer, Sheridan Bryant, Cally Slabaugh and Colton (Ashley) Slabaugh and her nine great grandchildren. Also left to mourn her are her extended family, Dave Sailer and Curt Slabaugh.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Sherwood Albrecht, loving companion, Lynn Hendricks and her siblings: Maynard, Lavalle, Richard, Ted, Maxine, Zilda, Jean, Nita and Bev.

Jan graduated from Medina High School. She enjoyed watching her great grand-daughters play volleyball. She also spent her time doing Macramé. Using her skills, she would macramé many family members names on chair covers. Jan was a longtime employee at Lodi Elementary School and had a large collection of Cloverleaf School District friends.

As per Jan’s request cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. The family would like to thank Lutheran Village of Ashland and Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care they gave their mother. Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem is assisting the family.
