Janet F Metheney

Janet F. Metheney 87, of West Salem died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Anna Maria of Aurora. She was born on June 2, 1933 in Confluence, PA. She was the daughter of Sylvester & Edna (Ruby) Skinner. She married her husband Paul Metheney on September 22, 1949. During her younger years she enjoyed taking care of her family and her home. Janet retired from General Electric in Oberlin and then later in her life she drove truck over the road with her husband, Paul. She enjoyed sewing quilts, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janet leaves behind three children: Amy (Karl) Kalinowski, Beth (Lucas) Clark, and Dana Metheney; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; thirteen siblings; and a grandson Joey.

There will be a private family service on Wednesday, February 24 at 5pm with visitation being held from 3-5pm. There will be celebration of life services held in Ohio and Pennsylvania held at a later date. She will be buried at Hazzard Cemetery with her husband Paul at a later date.
