Janet M Kenyon, 71, of West Salem died Sunday October 13, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral Home, West Salem Wednesday evening 5-8. Burial of the ashes will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a later date.

She was born April 1, 1942 in Lodi the daughter of Hershel & Dessie (Zook) Beard.
Janet retired from the West Salem IGA after 25 plus years.
She had worked for many years at Dragway 42 during the summer.
She was a former mayor and councilwomen of West Salem.
She had organized the Town & Country Days for many years.
She is survived by her husband Ned I Kenyon whom she married in 1961, three children, Steven and Michael Kenyon of West Salem and Deb Alexander of Wadsworth, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Her parents died previously.
