James David Poff, 67 of West Salem died Saturday October 17, 2015 at his home in Florida after a long illness.
Memorial Services will be Saturday October 24, 2015 @ 4:00 p.m. at New Hope Church (Northwestern Campus) 8691 Easton Rd, West Salem, OH 44287 Visitation will be from 2-4 prior to the service. He was born May 12, 1948 in Middletown, Ohio the son of John David and Mildred (Barnthouse) Poff.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a 50 plus member of the Grange in Mason, Ohio
He was an avid square dancer.
He was owner of James Poff and Sons Excavating in West Salem and Co-owner of JSP Mercer Transport Agency .
He is survived by his wife Shannon (Brown) Poff of West Salem, sons, Earl and Brian Poff of Ohio , daughters Brett (Shane) Lanning of Indiana and Katherine Parris of Florida, grandson, Noah, his mother Mildred Poff of Mason, Ohio, sisters, Mary Susan Brunk of Mason and Nancy Leckron of Florida.
His father and step son, David died previously.
