James P. (Sonny) McWeeny, 68 of West Salem died Saturday March 22, 2014 at his home.
There will be no services, due to his wishes. Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem is assisting the family with the arrangements.

He was born June 25, 1945 in Cleveland the son of James P and Arlene (Vanderwyst) McWeeny.
He served in the US Army.
He retired in 2001 from the Boilermaker Local 744 in Cleveland after 25 years of service.
He was a member of the James Stevenson American Legion Post 499 of West Salem where he served as commander.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Glancy) McWeeny who he married May 1, 1976,
Children, James (Melinda) McWeeny of El Paso, Texas, Sonny (Annette) McWeeny of Shreve, Denise (Jeff) Fishburn of Massillon, Daniel McWeeny of Wyoming and Hallie (Joe) Novak of Wooster,19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, Jack Stanovik of Florida and a sister, Arlene Marton of Brunswick.
His parent and a sister Marcy Emalee Cayes died previously
