James R. Lewis Jr. 79 of Lodi, Ohio died Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Lodi Community Hospital surrounded by his family.

Jim was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to parents James and Emma Jean (Shively) Lewis Sr.

He retired from Universal Forest Products in Lodi. Jim enjoyed collecting trains.

He is survived by daughters; Pam Frederick, Tammy Catherman, Cynthia Minor, Kristen (Russ) Felix and Michele (Paul) Yourich, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brothers; David (Judy) Lewis and Jerry (Sandy) Lewis and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by wife; Donna in 2005, parents, sister; Beatrice Lewis and infant sister; Emma and son-in-law; Dennis Minor.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Father Jim Winings officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Salem Cemetery.
