James J. Griffith 87 of West Salem died Sunday at Hospice at the Inn in Medina.
There will be no services the body is being cremated. Matteson funeral Home in West Salem is assisting the family with the arrangements.
He was born march 1, 1924 in Reedsville, PA the son of Joseph and Catherine (Treaster) Griffith. He had worked at Cleveland Automatic where he was a certified welder and a pipe fitter.
He served in the US Air Force during WW II. He enjoyed camping.
He is survived by his wife Nola (Blaisdell) Griffith whom he married in 1965.
A daughter Cathy Griffith of Chesterland.
A brother Paul Griffith of Cleveland.
Two sisters Joann Schockey of Cleveland and Peggy Litton of Mississippi.
His parents, a daughter Dianna Lynn, two sisters Gladys and Lois Griffith died previously.
