Helen J Bowersock, 91 of Wooster formerly of West Salem died Sunday Sept 13, 2015 at West view Manor in Wooster.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday Sept 15, 2015 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial in West Salem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to West View Manor, 1715 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691. She was born May 12, 1924 in Nankin, Ohio the daughter of Harry & Alice (Stienmetz) Keener.
She married Clarence Bowersock May 1946 and together they raised over 20 foster children.
She was a homemaker all her life and a seamstress.
She was a member of the West Salem United Methodist Church, former member of the West Salem Senior Citizens, 50+ and Domino Club.
She is survived by her children, James (Diana) Bowersock Sr. of Wooster, Vikki (Gary) Richards of Apple Creek, Lori (James) Bowersock Jr of Wooster and Karen(Jeff) Evans of Columbus, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.
Her parents, Husband Clarence in 1987, sons, Dennis Bowersock and Richard Liston and four sisters died previously.
