Hazel B. Smith

Hazel B. Smith 75, of West Salem died on June 28, 2022 at The Heights Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Broadview Heights, Ohio. Hazel was born in Freeport, Ohio on March 18, 1947 to parents Frank & Jennie (Capalingo) Pemberton. Hazel worked at the Food Bank for 10 years. She was a member of Souls Harbor Apostolic Church in West Salem. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and reading her Bible. She loved her flower garden and her house plants.

Hazel leaves behind her children Joey Douglas Carter (Rebecca Ann Cooper) of Creston and Sandra Carter of Wooster. She also leaves behind a grandchild Alice K. Carter. Her husband Eugene died previously.

Services for Hazel will be on Saturday July 2, 2022 at 11:00 am located at the Souls Harbor Apostolic Church in West Salem. There will be an hour prior to the service for visitation. Burial will be held at Burbank Cemetery. Pastor Samuel Ray will be officiating the service.
