Gordon Lee Akers

Gordon Lee Akers, 68 of West Salem died Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born January 21, 1956 in Ironton, Ohio the son of Albert and Viola (Brown) Akers. Gordon married Cory (Wissel) on December 24, 1977. He had honorable served in the US Army. Gordon retired from Ford Motor Company in Brook Park.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cory, children; Amber (Dan) Bishop and Anne (Claire) Goodfriend, granddaughter; Markail (Max) Wade, grandson; Kane Bishop and a great granddaughter; Novaleigh Wade. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a grandson.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date.
