Gloria J Schaffter, 88, of Burbank formerly of Sterling died Sunday October 27, 2013 at Burbank Parke.
Funeral services will be Friday November 1, 2013 at 11:00 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Marta Mathatas officiating. Friends will be received Thursday evening 5-8 at the Matteson Funeral Home, 40 Congress Street, West Salem. Burial in Sterling Cemetery. Memorial may be given to the Sterling Fire Department, , 13985 Kauffman Avenue, Sterling, Ohio 44276 or Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Green, Ohio 44685. She was born September 19, 1925 in Sterling the daughter of Allen & Bessie (Glessner) Kerstetter.
She had been employed at Maibach Furniture Company in Sterling.
She was a member of the Sterling United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by two children, Linda and Dave Mowrer of West Salem and James and Sheryl Moore of S. Carolina, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Her husband Melvin Schaffter in 1997, parents and two, brothers, Jack & Bill Kerstetter died previously.
