Glenn Robert Dorland

Glenn Robert Dorland (Shorty), 86, of West Salem died Thursday August 22, 2019 at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster.

Bob was born March 7, 1933 in Wayne County the son of Forest and Wilma (Hottel) Dorland

He graduated from Congress High School.

Bob served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a heavy equipment operator.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and watching the Indians and Browns games on TV.

He is survived by his niece, Chris Dorland of Sandusky, nephews, Ricky Dorland of Sandusky, Randy Dorland of Florida,great  nieces, great nephews and cousins.

His parents and a brother, Roger (Rod) Dorland died previously.

Funeral Service will be Monday August 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Chad Palmer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial in Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster where military rites will be conducted by James Stevenson American Post 499 of West Salem.  Memorials may be given to a donor of their choice.  Those who wish to share a memory or make an online condolence may do so by visiting mattesonfh.com
