Gladys P Brinker, 98, of West Salem died peacefully Saturday September 20, 2014 at Lutheran Village in Ashland.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 1:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Beryl Baum officiating. Friends will be received from 11-1 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial in Hazzard Cemetery. She was born May 25, 1916 in Polk, Ohio the daughter of Glen & Elva (Berry) Kline.
She graduated from Polk High School in 1934.
She had been a nanny and cook for a family in Ashland prior to her marriage.
She was homemaker all her life.
She enjoyed cooking, reading , baking pies for family and neighbors and spending time with family.
She married L Noble Brinker on Sept 4, 1937 who died April 25, 2000.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra Miller and Diana (John) McClure of Wooster, seven grandchildren, Scott Miller of Defiance, Steve(Esther) Miller of Felt, OK, Stan Miller of Wooster, Shelly(Ron) Dailey of Wooster, Greg(Lisa) McClure of Wadsworth, Jennifer McClure-Spillers her husband(Steve) of Lancaster and Jodi(Brian) Burgan of West Salem and 11 great grandchildren, Andrew & Kaitlyn Dailey, Tyler, Eric & Leah McClure , Kyle and Kara Burgan, Olivia, Caleb, Ben, Emma Spillers, 3 step great grandchildren, Kari, Ryan & Rebekah Roberts, sisters, Helen Earley of Ashland and Joyce (Paul) Imhoff of Ashland and a sister-in-law Loretha Kline of Polk
Her parents, husband, son-in-law, Robert Miller, sister, Maxine Koons and brothers, Donald & Kenneth Kline
